ok. here's the prob's

every time i got to start my car and it's been stood for a while(only overnight) it won't start, sometimes the starter wont turn, other times it's as if it has a flat battery. if i bump-start it then turn it off straight away it will restart easily. if i have been running it for a while it will restart easily, it's just the initial start after it's been standing.

any idea's? i have checked the battery output, and the alternator charge and they are fine, i have a gearbox strap, and a engine to alternator strap. it's dooing my bloody head in. tonight it didn't start and even with jump leads it still struggled. when i left it hooked up to another car for 5 mins it started ok. that say's to me the battery is on it's way out but it's only 6 months old and it's a good quality one(hella)

cheers

It aint the solenoid!!

It will be worn brushes in the starter mate.

find out what the battery voltage is doing when u try to start it

if its dropping very low then its delivering lots of current and if its not cranking the its prolly a duff starter

if voltage stays high then the solenoid isnt engaging
