Ive got a 2600 watt amp in my boot with a 1400 sub, Sometimes i can hear the engine rev'in in the sub?? Any idea why and how to stop it?? And the amp whistles when i have my volume down :cry:
it is a little black thing on the back of the alternator which you need i kent remember what they are called

na not much at all can be got from your local halfords ill let you know what its called when i remember lol

what alternater have you got? youll be sucking alot of juice from your battery with that size of amp. why not just get a bigger alternator? cost bout ?15 from a scrappy? should have the black thing on it.
where have you got your sub mounted and have you got an internal fan in the amp, im guessing that thats the whistling sound.
go to motorworld they will sell you an rca suppressor for ?8
it plugs inline with your rca leads which go into the amp and it really does work
i had this problem caused by a cheap amp

the RCA supressor will probably be just a filter that filters only the RCA bandwitdh,
your probably picking up some other bandwidth in the form of vibrations or something from the coil e.t.c
