certainly will, an in most extreme cases you'll find a huge hole int he front of the block

Lol. I think mine will blow up this year-Not so good news, However If I dont have enough cash for a valver, I would like to know what my options are?
Currently 1.4 block, 1.2 cylinder head.
I was thinking 1.4 SRi head (Id need to get another manifold for the carbs though)
I was thinking a 1.6 cavalier bottom end to start with, Then what? Any help appreciated. What mods would I need to do?
why a 1.6 cav bottom end ?

No reason, Jus the same as GSi etc, But I say cavalier coz I can get hold of them easily. Plus I just wondered if there any different (Even slightly) to a nova 1.6 bottom end?
Your probably a good person to ask Nick?
lol.. i have no clue as to what the difference is between the cav 1.6's and C16SE/E16SE's....

Thats bad mate, how did a screw get in your gearbox?

lol
is that a rod bolt that it threw out? They are the first and weakest thing to go on the bottom end (hence arp's).
not sure about it, but it looks like it...
hence why i'm shotpeening/deseaming mine and using ARP's...
