difference in the sound on the thickness of wood

well i would say so as the thiner the MDF is the more it will flex and vibrate :?

use the carpet as a template for the fale floof and hide the wires under the floor to tidy it up. you can raise the floor silghtly by fixing some small battens of wood under the false floor, this gives a raised area for hiding the wires like in baxters install (just guessing) to hide the wires. or just make a cut out cover to keep it looking tidy like in ENEMs install.

i prefer the battons on the floor, only because thats what im doing, but honestly i aint got a preference. just make sure that your amps can stay cool, so that they dont cut out in mid song!

The thicker the would the less effect the low frequencies will have on it as your sub hits around 30hz down you wont relise your box vibrating but it will 21mm all round would be good i did mine with 25mm ply alot better then mdf
