can anybody please give me any information on the 2 L 16 v conversion. Is it essential to cut away the bulk head? Don't really know much about the job but really want to do the conversion. Any information welcome thank you.

bash it with a hammer so the alternator clears. (keeps a bit of strength)
basically you need to get a front engine mount and GTE 22 spline shafts and cav 1.6 cv joints ( i think).
I have a guide that was scaned from a mag. PM me with an email address. It consists of two files each about 900k

No dont. If you are doing it do it right. The engine bay should be welded up anyway so just cout out the part of the chassis rail and weld it up. The bulkhead doesnt need cutting out at all.

i agree with chris, the proper way would be to cut a recess an weld it back up
