View Full Version : no claims and bans
If you had 1 years no claims and you get a ban do you still get to keep that 1 yrs no claim bonus when you get your license back a year later?
Doubt it unless you intend to pay the 12 months your not drivin to the insurance company - and they have some kind of protected no claims for that type of event. Depends on reason for the ban - they might not want you back! Will you be keeping the car?
A friend of a friend got busted for drunk drivin and lost licence for 12 months - paid the insurance company an extra year - went on some special driver rehab training thing and kept no claims as a result (several yrs worth) but insurtance jumped considerably.
Ring your insurers n find oot.
