my dads show van

i said i would post up pics of my dads show van, so here they are:
he had it bought him when he was 15 (same age i had my nova) to put him off having a motorbike :D that was about 27 years ago.
he spent the next two years modifying it.
heres the standard 2300cc bedford cf van before

here's the finished van.
in a rather unique headlamp conversion, it has a lincoln continental front panel and bumper and on the rear, it has pontiac grand prix rear lights and bumper.

he reckoned it got old and kept breakin down.
he ended up swaping it for a cortina before i was born. :cry:

most of the bodywork on the van was done by a friend of the family who my dad helped and picked up skills from but not enough to produce something any where near as amazing.

i have a plan to build a sleeper transit with a 300-350bhp vaux lump under the bonnet just for the hell of it

have some real white van man fun on the roads with that, especially vs some "hot hatches" - fancy smoking some CTR/scooby ass :)

found out some interesting facts too - like the long wheelbase high weight carrying transits (120/150 etc) have LSD's as std on the rear diff :lol:

just realised my dad had a black bedford CF like 15 years ago, had it all decked out A-Team style with swivel front seats made from old office chairs and scaffolding pole welded to the floor, rear seating area, chrome bull bars etc :roll:

wasnt as mad as that thing tho
