novas dead thanks to some silly cos from wirral, she smashed into the back of my car on the way back from rhyl we were almost stopped due to the bank holiday traffic and she ploughed into us like we werent there, she hit us doing roughly about 60-70mph and pushed us atleast 300 yards down the road!

car is in a right mess, luckly no one is hurt badly, me and my fella who was driving both have whiplash injuries, but ive also got bad pains in the bottom of my back and my legs :( in the back was my sisters 2 little girls, but they are fine, thank god, they were my main priority cos as u can imagine, they were scared to death, screaming and shaking with shock!

heres a few pics of the now dead nova, dont think this will ever see the roads again!!!!

whiplash affects all down the back of the body not just neck and back. You werent lucky to crash but at that speed you where lucky to survive.

claim compo if you feel u deserve it (only if you really beleive).

Unlucky Louise. Looked a nice car too...
Still at least you are not too seriously injured and the kids in the back were OK.

How people can drive along at that speed when they can see the roads are so busy and conjested is beyond me...

Did the silly cow give any explaination why she failed to notice the bright red car in front of her?

if they went in 2u at 60-70mph with small children in the back, you have every right to claim.

You were lucky to survive that one, 60 -70mph was about the speed i was doing in my dad's escort when i lost the back end and ended up in a field on the roof. I think people who drive and cannot see where they are driving need to be shot!!! they could have killed your sisters. i take it your gonna go for the full whiplash claim? ;-/

i am claiming - ive been feeling sick since it happened with the shock, im aching all over and my back and neck are really sore - plus i keep getting shooting pains in my legs - my niece had a bang on the head and if u look in the pics, the passenger seat which i was in has bent off the floor and theres hardly any room between the seat and the back seat - we were lucky that it was the youngest behind me as she is only little and it didnt crush her legs, had it been the older one, she would have really been hurt!

main thing is were all still alive - cant look at my car tho, still getting really upset when i see it, its at my fellas at the mo, out of the way, couldnt cope with seeing it everyday!

So sorry to see them pics Louise. It's a miracle that you're all ok. Get yourself and all of the other passengers checked out thoroughly. I feel gutted for you looking at them pics, so I can imagine how you must feel having to see it in the flesh :( Hope your back on the road soon.

Jim.

Thats exactly how my nova looks after my rear smash. One of my rear arches is sticking out too. That must be the way they were designed to fold up in a crash. I would wait until you get confirmation that the other driver accepts full liability b4 u put in a personal injury claim. That way they cant argue that they caused the injury as they have already accepted responsibility for the accident. ;)

my back and legs still arent good - keep getting pains in my legs, my doc says that its all to do with the crash and that ill b ok in a week! - like he gives a shit!

on a brighter side i had a curteousy car delivered today :D a fuck1ng ford ka :( not happy at all!!!!!!!! although power steering on such a small car is mint!!!!!!!!

I was upset when my drivers door got reversed into, so I can only start to imagine how gutted you must be Louise!

I honestly think I'd cry if that happened to mine :(
Just glad your alive...just hope that you loose the pains soon....I bet it hurts!
How are the others bearing up?

Glad ur all ok - get that claim in - back pain can last a long time - the least you & the kids deserve!
wot did the assessor say? Any idea how bad the chassis is? It's amazing wot body shops can do nowadays. It's slim but your car may not be totally dead - it all depends wots hidden underneath. My friend had a similar incident happen to him - hit by a freelander doing 100mph going uphill - he only survived coz he had a rollcage. His car was mashed beyond recognition - had to be cut from wreckage - now thats painful seeing your car cut to bits when your trapped in it. He said the best bit about getting over the loss of the car was treating it like an organ donor - he gave bits of it to friends with novas (was a member of a club up here). Hopefully it wont come to that though - see wot the insurance will say about possiblly fixing it 1st - yer never know - and get that claim rolling.

assessor walked up to the car and asked me if i had an holy water!!! - so yup. definately a writeoff, although i had guessed that, he recons the chassis is twisted and to be honest, id rather not have it repaired, like u said, it will become my fellas donor car as he wants the front end for his nova van, one of his wings is a little rusty and he wants the doors as they are de-locked etc, so think he is buying the shell off me, already had a few calls about the engine from friends, so think it will be spread about!

pulled back the carpet in the boot today from over the back seats as u cant open the boot and where the thing comes down that the suspension is fastened too, (vague i know!!!) and it meets the boot floor - massive hole there where its come apart, hadnt seen that before, so definately not good :(

as for me, legs seem to be getting worse everyday, not better - cant sit for no longer than half an hour, otherwise i struggle to stand up, dont know why tho :( backs still not good, my fellas neck is still giving him hassle, but the kids have been fine, thank god!!

been to look at another car, renault19 16v, kinda interested in that, cos my wheels will fit it, and its really comfy, just have to wait and see what happens now
