i keep finding more and mroe bits lol
i was originally hopign to have it done by the end of this month but its getting closer all the time, so probably end of next month now :)
engine might be going in this weekend, though ill probably ffind some more rust :)

Cool nice car mate,yeah mine had rot in the same place as that round the rear strut underside,hows the rear legs and boot floor? my iner wing join was also the same :lol:

Seen a GSi like that for sale on E bay,looks ok,im sure it will be good once finished..

Are you cuttin the front chassis leg to make room for the XE alternator,please say your going to bash,and bodge it? :?

Well you will love it once done mate..oh by the way there is a guy on here called chris 16v,just thouhg you might like to know lol.

Wondered why it wouldnt accepts chris16v as my username lol
hadnt decided on the clearence for the alternator yet, should be easy enough to put a box section in, so many people reccomend a hammer :D
might have been the gsi off ebay i got it out the autotrader before christmas though?

looks nicely prepped there mate, question and probably a daft one but why do people cut off the bit in front of the battery?

Do you mean the top of the bulk? if so that guy chris 16v has done it,some do it for looks,as it opens it up a bit,others do it for better air flow when using carb/TB's etc as the scuttle vents help..i belive.

i prefer elvington really though mainly cos its a lot quieter and better choice of things to race usually :)
