i can replace all the parts by my self ( whom ever has read my posts here about the gear shifting problem will understand) but i am afraid that after the new parts are in place i won't be able to shift gears becuase i havn't calibrated the new parts to fit with my gear box.

Does anyone have a clue of how to calibrate the gears?

:)

Thanks!

hes from europe, hes got a "corsa a" lol

use the gear box selector (on top of the box) and select 2nd gear, take off the small cover in the selector and then push a 3.5-4.5mm brill bit in to secure it in the hole, you can then let go and the selector will stay in place.

have a person in the car and they shall hold the gear lever to the left in the centre, there is a notch to line it up with.

get under the car and do up the clamp to secure the linkage.

once secure take out the drill bit and try to get all the gears. Job done

can u help me with posting pics of the procedure? that will realy help :) i understand what is needed to be done. replacing the parts is a piece of cake but setting up the gears afterwards can be abit messy i understand from what you wrote... can you add pictures or give me some pointers on where not to screw up?

thanks mate.
