As soon as i get hold of some cheap 17" tyres i'll be fitting the rims to the car, i was just wondering though

Would the tyres be too wide if they were a 215/40? I'm looking out for 205/40 but if a 215/40 poped up not sure whether or not to pass it up or not...

It's going to be lowered 60mm and it's a 3 door, i'm not scared of the arch work and i'll be doing it all myself, just wondered if it literally is a no go with 215/40s?

A mate of mine had 205/40/16 on his Nova, and even on standard ride height he was having trouble. When he lowered it 40mm he had to put the steelies back on. Not sure what the offset was though to be fair (they were TSW Hockenheims).

lol my GT-Four has 225/45/16 as standard.... :o
