Looking for some advice...

The plan is to somehow graft on the fron tportion of a Punto mk2 bonnet onto my novas bonnet.

This is so I can line up the Punto mk2 lights that will be replacing my mk2 Nova ones.

What I need to know is whats the best way of doing this?

My initial thoughts were to remove the skin from the front part of the nova bonnet exposing the support beams beneatyhand then graft on the front section of the Punto bonnet - filling gaps with fibreglass etc and reinforcing any additional overhang.

I'd need to leave the bonnet catch where it was and I've sussed how to make a hidden bonnet release cable as the Punto bonnet would be too low to get to it.

What I need help with is the best way of sticking the fron tbit on so that it wont crack or break.

The plan is to use bonnet lifters eventually too - unless these are too nasty (slamming wise).

Any suggestions.

best way to stop cracking mate is use as much metal as you can. if you've got a little gap bridge it with weld or a little metal patch the get the grinder out and clean it up. fair enough it'll take longer but its the best way, and of cource metal crafting (not sure if thats the right word) is kool

is the punto bonnet physically biggger than a nova one? if it is you could take the skin off both of them then heat and bend the fiat one to the same shape as the nova one (flat) then tack it onto the nova frame
