took the car out today after it had its exhaust fitted. its got to go back on friday to get the exhaust adjusted a little as the tailpipes i chose stick out further than i would have liked. other than that they have done a very good job at longlife of fitting a full 2 1/4" bore system in the tight space they had under the nova.

its a little loud but i kind of expected that due to the size tube i wanted,

other than a few niggly problems with the new engine it has all gone really well. and im really glad i used the close ratio f16 box as it drops the revs right into the power on every gear change.
and the power never thaught it would be this much quicker than my 8v, how i was wrong.it pulls in 5th like its in 3rd

ill get some pics when its clean and ive neatened up the engine bay (friday)

i love my f16 box, its great.
just watch out thou. if you go to around 200 horses, it'll kill the box.
dont down shift 3 gears at 80 into a corner either. they pop.

well its going back into the exhaust shop tomorrow to have another box fitted and the tailpipe adjusted so they are level with the bumper. looking forward to it really. thinking of saving up and getting tb's for the engine later on as i want the economy of them. webbers would be good but ive had them and want to improve with the new engine.

how much am i looking at for a tb set up anyway. :?:

after a colant pipe coming off the rad in safeway last night and the gears moving so i could not get 5th for a while. its all sorted now. got the exhaust adjusted today too, and got them to fit another middle box to try to make it less like a cherry bomb sound lol.
worked really well and the workmanship is exelent. no powerflow trademark rattles, or rusty parts, just longlife shiny stainess and mandrel bent 2 1/4 inch tubing. all told it came to 345 quid but was worth it.
