As every year i spectated at the btrda championship round that goes through the forest of dean where i live, as normal the entry list was on the large side with 238 entries this year. The weather was 'ok' with only a few showers too dampen the stages abit more lol. Chris t (nova---chris) came down on fri night and stopped at mine so he could follow the event with me from the pits to wish a few i knew goodluck and check out all the cars to a whole day dodging cars and being ready to run for his life

Yes it was a top day! Started very early but some top cars to be viewed in the pit area. As you see me and Dan chose a nice corner to stand on. Lmao i was nearly greeted by a bonnet of a evo 7 at one point. with dan asking if i got a another pic of it. i was like fuck did i . i was busy jumping out the way of the fucker!!!! Lmao!!
Overall it was a top day out. Great track with some wixked corners. The track chopped up realy nice with a bit of ran which made sideways action alot bigger. The mk2 rs escorts were fecking awesome. what a sound!!!
Then the wrc cars. Have to see em to beleive em! Anti lag galoreeee!!!!
Anyhow im just uploading my pictures. i cant be arsed editing . ill post the link up shortly!

Anyhow big thanks to dan and his family for putting me up friday night and also inviting me along to the event. roll on next years!!!!! :)

you should come up to new brighton one, much more of a spectator event as you can see the whole event as never leaves the prom

I wouldnt say more of a spectator event lol, we are free roaming around and along all stages so can find a good spot (whilst dodging cars that are already on stage), and only have one 45 min break all day between the action to get some food and tramp across to another stage. the other 8 or 9 hours is solid spectated unless there is a nasty off like yesterday which cut that last stage short by an hr or so.

awesome pikkies dan, it looked like a wicked day out, plenty of sideways action.

There is another rally comming up next weekend, The NW stages. It kicks off in blackpool starting on the prom. Completes a few stages on the prom then moves off to pontin's. I'll get some pikkies of that when i go down on saturday.

what does it cost to do rallying? when i was younger i used to do Racing but was loads of rules and stuff cos i was young and that still cost qwuite alot of money nearly bank rupt my mum when the car came back in bits every 2 weeks .. was a old Escort only had a 1.3 engine in it and weighed a tonne but i was only 15 so was good fun can not remeber what the class of racing it used to be :|

Rexy

It can cost as little or as much as you want matey.

Road rallies are a good place to start. Non-Race Cat B licence - ?35 and membership to a rally/car club - ?7.

Then u can just use any car u want for road rallies, No prep Ness. Unless its a Yellow Nova SR 1300 which is rotting away lol. In which case, Welding is required.

not a bad price wunt mind getting a car and making it in to a rally one :D if i get Epos car ill make my 1.4 Sr in to one i think then i dont have to worry about getting it painted

Rexy

loads of rules and reg's to follow matey best thing is to join a club if you really want to get involved. Oh, and some peeps tend to dislike boy racers and the peeps involved with the car scene you and I both know.

Its mainly because there older etc, get yourself in a motorsport club first before stripping your nova and turning it into a rally car.

raza
13-02-05, 07:25 PM
yea i would :P i wunt just bother stripping it and shit id do it properly lol
