Just wondering what the majority do with their cars.

If you post, stick you age up. I'm interested to see what age group is into different modifying stages.

Post the frst thing you think of. . .

Looks are for puffs, keep it SMOOTH and SIMPLE

First thing I saw which I liked. No need to pander to 'the magazines' - nice set of wheels and a few subtle mods are all good.

I didn't see the other choices but I cba faffing about with greasy parts week in week out, more interested in cleaning and driving 8)

First thing that I thought of? Cheddar cheese. Dunno why.

I'd say smooth and simple (ignore the my old hatch lol). Like the tidy look myself. Although Control comes a very close second, novas handling isn't too great as standard

I'm 22 btw :P

Smooth and simple for me too...If its mk1 then it has to be GTE stylee, or mk2 then GSi stylee, and then just lowered on a nice set of alloys.

Dont like the big kits thing - Delta/Kingdom etc are just too OTT.

Im 18 btw..

Power is nothing without CONTROL

mk1, smoothed GTE bumpers, clear lights, no skirts or rub strips( enhances the curve of the arches), no locks for the scallys to punch and possibly rear mk3 astra handles. I'm 25.

Except for the wheels, mines just standard GSi stuff, Burgandy paintwork :-) lol, gsi interior, all just simple styling.

Hardcore TUNING, POWER is the key

And the new engine is reasonably hardcore, but i like to mix it with a bit of standard simple styling.

bit of both of those

Tunes are a must
power is the way forward even if it is a 1.4
kits look wank
im 16 other wise i would have a 2.0 litre turbo in my nova straight away
1.4 sr power nt bad power for a first car :D

Think you need to broaden the poll, lol.

I've gone for looks, performance and handling, not necessarily in that order. I wouldn't say it's smooth and simple, yet it's not overly kitted (at least I dont think it is?)

Age: None of your business :P (27)

i'd say do a few subtle mods to make it look a bit better than standard, then go to town a bit on the power and then bring the looks up to scratch a bit more,
No bodykits and no large installs/neons.

Mike.

smooth and subtle is the way to go, then i'd go to town on the engine

not to keen on huge ice installs, bodykits look shite

1st choice power is nothing without control

To be honest I only drive a standard 1.3 which is plenty of power for the town i drive around, so the only thing i need is good control.

No good going along quicker than u should be if you can't control the car, not that i saying i go quicker than i should do though!

I'm 18.

tryin to summarise my ideal taste in moddin; standard gsi; willwood brakes, toyo/yoko tyres, motorsport alloys (speedline, compomotive etc) slapped on its batty (coilovers/custom springs) then all the rest spent on lump; for power, reliability and bling. so i clicked hardcore baby. all da way.
age: 23 goin on 17.

I agree with most of that. Gotta be smooth/simple, handle and control well, with a fair bit of power lol (plus mk1 lol)

Oh, and also, I'm 19 (20 in April :o )

Its all about the Mk1. . .

It seems a lot of people go for the full monty rather than concentrating on certain aspects.

Fair play to them, esp the guys who have power, looks, handeling and sounds and still put them to use every single day of the week.

body kits are for puffs with small willy's (no offence!) so, ill have power and lots of it, rally slag looks aplenty and ultimate handling! (something no tappy ford can ever give   )

plus one insane pilot and all i need now is a lightened and balanced right foot!!

twas 19 on friday :?:

I like a nova to look smart and clean, no gay bodykits.
Must have a good suspension setup (although mine hasn't, lol)
ICE - No thanks. The twin 40's are my ice.
Hardcore tuning.

But I would have to tinker with the engine and suspension, nothing daft just a 32/34 with mild port work and a good -35/40mm kit. Wheel-wise I prefer to stick with vaux alloys as i've clouted a few quite hard and they've never broken
