hi ive officially given up on the 1.4sri engine i cant get hold of an ecu any where and im fed up of looking. so ive decided i am goin to put the 1.6gte head and inlet on it. The 1.6gte head has been heavily skimmed (about as much as possible) ready to go on,i have the cam and cam carrier, dizzy and ignition coil.
Can anybody tel me if i need anything else to do the conversion?
And should i use a 1.6 head gasket or a 1.4 head gasket? ive heard it doesnt matter which i use as theres no diference is this true?
And finally can anybody tell me how i go about removing/blocking the egr holes.

egr hole, tap it and then put a bolt in with thread lock

I have a C14SE ecu, but no loom for it.

You should just pop to a scrappy and get the loom ecu from any MK3 astra 1.4 MPi engine, there's about 4 at one near me, just use that??
