1.3 to 1.6 carbed

i had problems whit my 1.3 sr
and now i found a 1.6i engine from an astra 1.6i friom 94
what do i have to bring from that car for my nova.
its going to be a carbed one for now will be a piershited carb :P butr it will be changed for a weber 32/34 .

i did the same with mine,you need the gearbox with it.everything else is easy.

he engine is the same as the GSI its a 8v

why do i need the gear box if i have a f13 on mine and the engine is the same as the nova GSI

the F13 has a larger flywheel than the F10 (Diameter is 10mm more).

You can't fit an F10 box onto the larger flywheel without modifying the starter motor mount.

F13 box on a smaller flywheel can be done i think,

i have a nova sr 1.3 whitg a f13 box i going to put the same engine as on the nova GSI , i do not have a nova 1.0.

SR's all had F10 boxes
SRi and GTE/GSi had F13 boxes

if u DO have an F13 you'll be fine

if u THINK u have an F13 u better go check to be sure

and there are no easy ways to carb a c16se unless you go for twin 40's as none of the normal carb manifolds will mate up

i have a mainfold from one of the lasts 1.6 carb engines

1.6 carb has square ports

1.6 singlepoint injection has square ports but is a really shite engine and only makes 70bhp due to rediculus cam

1.6multipoint injection is the same as nova gsi engine and will not fit any standard carb manifold as its got round ports

its round's i have a mainfold with round ports on it o do not know from what car are they.
maybe they can work.
