Can u run a 50bhp shot of nitrous through a 1.4 sr engine running t40s?

yes with the correct additional mods ie retarting the timing

std bottom end should be alright for 150bhp

best person to speak to about this is bobfish on roybacer, he was running 100 bhp though his, with no controller. basically you should be able to run 50 bhp with no mod's other than harder(colder) plugs. that's with normal timing.

how much work is there involved in setting up NOS and how much would it set me back?

its easy to fit,bottle in boot then a nos line all the way to the front of the car,then in the engine bay you will have to pick up a a fuel line feed to the extra injector. you have to fit 2 electronic valves which open via however you wana switch it on(pedal,switch etc)then from the two electronic valves you have two lines that goto a 2-1 end which you then have to mountt somewhere so not sure how youd get on on twin 40's

i fitted it on a 24v cosworth lump,75 jets was rapid and it had the auto throttle cable so you could use that as your switch as it had the kick down bit,but the 2-1 went in the inlet pipe so was easy.

That may be my next mod, should run nicely with 40's! Got the 4 branch on now & fast road cam so think my cars ready, What else would you need to make the engine okay to take the NOS?
