what cars would u find this in?

i have found a cam and want to knoiw if it'll fit my 2ltr 8v nova. the engine is out of a cav mk3.

all vaux ohc 8vs are J series

there are family1 j series which are smallblock and family 2 which are bigblock

so it should fit then.

i take it the big block engines are the 1.6/1.8 and 2.0?

'big block'(series2) engines are 1.8 and 2.0
'Small block' (series1) engines are 1.2, 1.3, 1.4 and 1.6

early 1600's were series 2 too (pre 1988 ish)

were they! learn something new everyday!!! thought a early GTE had the same engine mounts as a SR tho?!?!?

early nova GTE's had the small block engine. i believe it was just cavaliers and maybe astras that had the big block 1.6 engines. could be wrong though.

the Nova GTE didn't come out till 1988 i think.
