Nova Meeting

It has been put to me that there should be a nova meeting (all nova owners welcome) on the last Sunday of every month at Newport Pagnell Services on the M1. Who would be up for this?

Good point Chris. Lets have a show of hands who can make it this month. The date will be 31/2/2002 @ 2.00pm Newport Pagnel Northbound services on the M1 (In between junction 14 & 15) Does this sound ok to everyone?

Agreed with James, I am a Southampton Lad in all and it's a fair old way for me to go and then get laughed at for having a 5door and being a member of that "Other" site :D

Never the less, it's smack in the middle of the country and if it where further south it would be unfair to the northen sector...

Maybe not every month maybe 4 times a year for me?

James, I am actually up in liecester on the day of the meet, (31st) as I am picking up my new engine :D (1.6 16v) so I won't be able to make it that day :( As for Guilford? I haven't heard anything about Guilford on that night I thought that was Dunstable on the 30th....??? I Will let you know mate. What car do you drive any how, I may have seen you around....

All Novas are welcome. All of you with a 5 door Nova, what makes you think we'd take the piss? Ok some people from the site might have slatted them before, but who's car doesn't get b****ed about? Everyone has opinions, it's just a matter of listening to those opinions that you want to hear. I've seen one 5 door (probably Dan's) and I thought it looked smart. It was different and fair play to him and all those others who own 5 doors, saloons, spiders, Mk1's, Mk2's, standard, modified...you get my point.

A nova is a nova, and that why we want to arrange a meeting on a monthly basis at the Newport Pagnel services, so that we can meet people, see all types of cars, get differnet ideas, etc. It's not going to be a b****ing meet (at least I hope not anyway :p). If you can make it, great. If not then no worries.

As for you Rob, of course non-nova owners are welcome, especially if you use to own a Nova but recently lost it due to unexpected curb damage ;)

Hope to see some of you there on the 31st.

the 1 litre pulled 104 mph on the M6 the other day, u reckon this is true? books only says 95?

it was probably doing 94 - 95 and the speedo was wrong by 10 mph.

For peeps that might not have realised, the 31st is Easter sunday, so people who were planning on attending might have family commitments, etc.
this does mean that the monday is a bank holiday though :D
Please post here if you still think you will be able to attend, so that people who are travelling along way don't turn up to find no one there..

I won't be able to make the first one in that case.....going away that bank holiday weekend, but I'll try and make the next one.....I just need to sort out another small fuel leak I've got first or it'll cost a small fortune in fuel!
(I've got to find the leak first too before I can fix it!)

Im gonna be there,minus a head unit thanks to a crap months pay(due to having 1 weeks unpaid hol) X-( but I should have enough to get my dizzy sorted,and may have enough time to get my weber 32/34 on,and maybe my gsi bigmouthed bumper. FINGERS CROSSED
