starter solinoied current

hey
im going to put a push putton start into the car but i dont know what current is drawn. if anyone knows this then it will give me a direction to go to as regards a relay to get

about 10-20 amps i'd guess as its quite a fat wire

although it might be less...

cheers man iv spotted a wee 30amp relay so it will do the job ritely then but as u say ur not sure so i hope ther is someone that can confirm ur thoughts

30a is fine

remember these ratings are for continous current too

starter only runs for a short time and u could probably push 40-50A across the relays contacts for a few seconds at a time without doing any damage
