Is your 1.2 a carb engine or injection.
If its carb then its pretty easy swap the engine.
You need everything to the new engine, g/box etc, loom etc.
Out with the old, and straight in with the new.

If your 1.2 is injection then you will need disconnect the electronic fuel pump etc, slightly more difficult.
But pretty easy conversion.

if youve got a 1.2 theres really no point just going upto 1.3, you at least want a 1.4

There is
They are close in terms of performance, but the 1.4SR is quicker slightly.

If your going to change the engine then you might as well goto a 1.6GSI
No point spending all that time and money just to go to a 1.3 or 1.4

A good 1.6 can easily be collected for ?150

if yours is already an injection than the job would be even easier.
