View Full Version : is it the throttle cable?
right then. when i drive my GSI, i stop at lights or somthing and the revs slowly climb up to about 3k. (but my foot is NOT on the acelarator)
and theres a part in the acelarator that does nothing although im pushing it.
is this somthing to do with the throttle cable? can you oil/grease it or buy new ones?
cheers.
I would say its you Idle Air Control valve mate, not throttle cable, wrong symptoms
Chris
Try adjusting the screw on the throttle housing.
If not that, then it could be a problem with the automatic choke?
wheres the Idle Air Control valve?
can you buy new ones?
i'v looked every where for that screw but i carnt find it. where abouts is it?
cheers
pm me with ur email address and i'll email pics showing u where both are
