I'm working on my project car which has a 1.3 on twin 40's and i want a strutbrace BUT the 1.3 version is designed to kinda wrap around the 2E carb which isnt there any more so can i fit a GSi/GTE one which is straight???

Cheers
Dave

All strutbraces for a Nova, whatever model they say its for, should fit any model (if that makes any sense lol), whether it be a 1.0 or a 2.0..

The one on my car was stated as fitting only a 1.3sr but i knew that wasnt the case and bought it anyway and had no problems fitting it.

some strut braces dont fit all models. mine is a gte/gsi one. it dosen't fit sr's cos of the filter box. its made by sparco.

ok then, my mistake..

Most should fit however, and it would just be the airfilter that stops fitment of certain types of strutbrace - back to your original question -the one that goes straight across the engine bay should fit because you dont have an airfilter in the way becuase of having twin 40's :D

Cheers Benji you understood the question  I know all strrutbraces fit on the mountings but i was wondering if i could fit a gsI one without it fouling the 40's.
nice one chaps.

i think eeveryone understood the question

you didn't understand the answers.

All should fit due to the need for less clerance , due to fitting T40's
