Alternator??

I need a new alternator for my gte. Not sure but is it ok to use one from a 1.4 sr?

should be ok as long as you haven't got a large stereo, heated seats etc. I think they are slightly less in their output, but not much. I think the GTE is 55A/H while the SR is either the same or a bit less. You will be able to get away with a 45A/H one i would have though. Get a bosh one, not a delco remy one as they are far better
