afaik very early Mk1s are different... but I don't think it affects the fit of the door on later models.

If the frame is ok you could try re-skinning them.

you can get repair sections for the bottom of the door - but in my opinion id rather re-skin the whole door - much easier and you wont have to arse around with filler gettin them to look right - trust me, i repaired the bottoms and wished i hadnt!
