Does anyone know if anyone has put a 2.2 diesel in their Nova??? And if not anyone know where i can get some engine mounts fabricated. thank you. 8)

to do this sort of conversion you would have to be increadably clued up on things like welding etc as it would be something you would have to work out for yourself

damn would be bigger than that v8 2.2 litre turbo diesel engine would be fucking HUGE good look getting one in ;)

When i worked at recardos in shoreham by sea i put 15 litre in a merc 510 traction unit. :o

the vaux 2.2dti unit is ally block im sure so it shouldnt be too heavy - find a vectra with one and compare the mounts to a std petrol unit, if they are the same it will bolt right up - u might just need a ecotec fitting kit or similar

iirc tho they dont make that much power as std - only 100bhp or so, might wanna look inot tuning first ;)

yes, why would you want to do this? If you want a quick nova then it isnt going to work here. Yes the engine will have loads of torque but still WHY?? It isnt as if you can tow anything which would warrant that much torque as it would be too heavy, and the engine alone would be worth more than the car

yeah about 200 to 300 lbs of it imagne that spinning up in 3 rd just under the pure grunt

i would imagine the mounts would be totally different, much like the newer ecotech engines.
