i've explained this loads of times!!!

ive cut a hole in the front of the rear box.. and the selector comes out of it, then joins to a double ended gearstick

after the twin is running, should be done mid summer, see work in progress at all the big shows.... i'm gonna build one of these

Ive seen a feature on Novas on some cheapo Max Power DVD or summit before, that had a twin engined nova on it, was absolutly rapid.

Best toy a man could wish for.

you'd think that but the twin engined let doesnt have the quickest 1/4 mile time for a nova

yeah wasnt that 2.0 8v turbo nova quicker. the baby blue one that nova niel now has the engine out of

Philsutton

it certainly was, an had a lot less power, the twin one would have a better 0-60 but after that the extra weight slows it down

i think the main reason why the blue one was quicker than the twin engined nova was yes the weight difference but mainly that it ran super sticky slicks where as the boost beast allways runs 17" road wheels. if they ran slics i recon it would be a sub 10 second car

i was thinking more for traction at the start giving better times.

And seeing as though they are only small blocks it should be able to stay pretty light in comparrison to 2 big blocks.

have to wait and see i suppose.

sub 10 second Damn =\ be like ure in a gravity wheel at the fair ground :D would stick u to the seat no need for seat belts

Nick

but seeing as it has a 0-60 of 2.8 seconds...

i don't really care what 1/4 mile time is has. As 2.8 seconds is phenominal

Interesting read mate,

Whats the reason for using the front of a nova welded into the back of the car? Would it not have been easier to make a subframe and weld it into the car? The reason i ask is that i see you have mounted the steering rack in the back also which i presume you have done to hold the wheels together, but how are you going to stop the rear wheels from turning? Are you going to weld the top mounts up and the bottom ball joints??

i would have to say that putting another front end in the back was the easier way of getting sitting right

Hope you are going to wire up that rear wiper, at least you will be able to see behind if it starts pi$$ing oil everywhere

Are you going for rear wheel steering too?

Awesome project - cant wait to see it at the shows

making a subframe is hassle and would take time/money and need special suspension parts... the rack is locked

note angle bar welded to the rack to keep it locked this will be beefed up for the final fit when the fuel tank is made

Blimey thats alot for a small weld like that to hold, would it not be easier to have a solid bar with tie rods either end so that you could still adjust the rear toe, welded into position? So your not welding the bottom ball joints or top mounts up then? They will theoretically still be moveable?

Nick

as ste said, it's a ?0 project for fun.

So if it does break then they know how to fix it, and it's not like it's going to be used for an everyday car

it still has to go up and down so it can't be welded so it would need 4 rose joints..... the bottom ball joints still have to be free cause they move on the up and down movement of the wheel.... that bar welded is only temp... it will be drilled through then a bar and weld that down might fill the rack with resin also
