The other day i was swapping mk1 wings for mk 2 wings when i noticed that the front sill at the drivers side was rotton, and the floor is rotton in that corner too. the sill is solid most of the way, but its at the front where the wing bolts onto thats got the hole.
whats the best way to repair and get an mot???

Well there are a few ways really..

- Resort to a new sill, that replaces the whole of the sill (to that bit that bolts the wing on)..

- Repair it with a patch..try to shape metal to match the shape of the sill, and cut the old bit of rust out, making sure you treat it properly etc..

- Put a patch over the top..

Depends how bad it is really, and whether you want to just bodge it for the time being or repair it properly..
