View Full Version : wheres the screw on my GSI engine to higher the rev's

like it says really.
i did it on my old SR, its a bit differant to the SR so i don't no what one to turn.i just need to higher it a touch cause it keeps stalling (its well bellow 1000rpm)

any one got a rougth idea of which one to turn?

Therre;s a screw on the throtle body that you need to turn anti clockwise to higher the tick-over. Are you sure that it's running bad due to the tick-over being low? Could there be something else not quite right?

welli gotta feeling its that cause i had to do it to my SR, it was exactally the same.

your old sr had a carburettor that you could adjust the idle screw.
your GSi is completely different, its fueling is controlled electronically by the ECU.

But you can adjust the idle speed on E16SE engines.

I think GSI's commonly have C16SE's which don't have the adjustment screw (afaik).

It might be best to take it to a garage and get the emissions tested when adjusting stuff.
