My mate came over earlier as it was a nice day polishing of the cars was in order, and gave me a good chance to take some proper pictures of the Nova with leather and the interior all trimmed up. Now just need some sodding wheels! Also got some new mods, clear rear lights and Astra Mk4 Side Repeaters.

Looks excellent mate, love that colour. A set of wheels will really finish it off. Looks like you had some good weather aswell, i've been out all day in the rain, fun

I'm on the hunt for wheels, money is burning in my pocket, I want 17s, it's just finding some that fit first

I should be getting rid of my Venoms soon (although most peeps on here don't like them lol). They're 17 ET40, fit fine with rolled arch's. PM me if you're interested  Have been abit curbed though-it's really hard not too because the spokes stick out quite a lot

How did u get ET40 inside ur front arches? are they rolled as well?

I have a Full GTE engine, with a Full magnex exhaust waiting to go in, next on the list...

Ummmm its a J reg? :? :?

Its Porsche Iris Blue Metallic

dunova
05-02-05, 05:19 PM
Well they don't really go 'in' the front arch as such lol, but lowered 60mm they only rubbed when cornering down hill, so i rolled them myself (only slightly) and they were fine.

hmmm softstars...mmmmm

If they weren't so blimming expesnive i would have a set!!

dunova - did the tyre sorta sit flush with the arch then? i don't mind a little bit of chaffage, but its an MOT failure when they sit right outside the arch isn't it.

dunova
05-02-05, 05:53 PM
Yeah they kind of sat flush, but stuck out a little bit. It went through the MOT fine how it was, but i have been told that officially it's an MOT failure.

Sorry, but i think softstars are horrible!! I wouldn't mind a set of MO's, but they wouldn't suit my car. I currently have some Astra gsi alloys-i quite like them and are fine on the arch's lowered 80mm :D

i'm prob gonna go 60-80 tho tbh

Get some Dare V1s if your getting 17". Had some fitted to my Turbo and never had any catching problems. The way your car looks though I think softstars would look mint on it.

Chris

Been offered a set of 16" speedline allessios locally, for ?400 in mint condition, i'm thinking these may make a proper job :D

get some nice 17" chrome blue wheels.
and a big roof spoiler, and have 4 women crash into you.
that should do it.

car looks good, if you do the above. i will drive down there and set your car alight. simple as that!

as i said on csw, please dont get speedlines. although they may look good. itll just be another nova on speedlines at the end of the day. do something individual. get some 17s that look good on the car but not everyone has done before

If you want 17s then the Dare V1 and V5 are a very nice wheel, and not too expensive from what I can remember.

How about Cav Cesaro wheels? Although they're only 15"...

Wow looks fucking smart!!

It's hard to get the vision from the first pics without decent wheels but that really is sweet.

ps. you need a tripod/wall for night mode  try this (http://www.amazon.co.uk/exec/obidos/ASIN/B0000WXD16/qid=1107889032/ref=sr_8_xs_ap_i1_xgl/202-5914381-0459868)

You're right I coulda been, but the whole idea from the start with this nova was to be subtle, and speedlines must be the mooost subtle wheel for a nova other than softstars, and i've always preffered speedlines over softstars...

As subtle styling goes, its spot on imo

Its looking good mate, like the look on speedies(but i would lol)

i recon to finish the look on the outside you just need a nice tail pipe now,as the standard one lets it don slightly..

Keep it going mate.
