a wee question, are the gte/gsi followers the same as 1.6 cav followers?

Assuming the Cav engine isn't a big block OHC, i'd say yes.

i would say all the small block engine followers are the same but im not 100% sure

could be write but i heard that there was .5mm or so difference between them, but i could be wrong

ideally you dont want to be using second hand followers. When a follower wears, it wears with the cam lobes. If one is removed it should be fitted back into the same slot

no they are all the same

1.2-1.6 are all identical

just for the the thought of it but i take it that 1.0 followers are smaller

they are what the cam pushes on to press down the valve. they pivot on the hydraulic lifter.
