its insured, under my mums name though.
im insured on my parents 1.7td corsa c aswell so were paying alot out on insurances. too much for me to get insured on me own!

i got told by my insurance company not to declare my mods to them anyway.

i turn 18 the end of may and will have been driving ten months so if i get a quote thats not badly priced then i'll probably go on my own insurance.
till then i thought i'd see if this crafty idea would work.

There's not a lot you can do to drop your premium down; the fact is younger drivers are a higher risk, so you pay more money. End of.

What companies have you tried? How about limiting your mileage? Alarms? Immobilisers? Are you parked in the street overnight, or can you get the car in a garage? Considered joining the IAM, doing Pass Plus and Skidpan? There's a bunch of ways to chop a few quid off your premium.

Have you tried Elephant (http://www.elephant.co.uk), Admiral (http://www.admiral.com), and Tescos (http://www.tesco.com) - they're all pretty cheap.

got a DD40 ban, 2 accidents and a fire claim since 2001 - insured with no no-claims as my ncb is on the other motor and cost ?130.00 for the year TPFT - prob cheaper TPO is just sitting on a drive

Even something like a group1 car, will still cost hundreds to insure.
