no choice, the chevy nova any day. Always wanted a old muscle car and have been looking into getting one recently. Of all the muscle cars the chevy nova is by far my favourite one. They dont come cheap though looking at about 7 grand for one an thats about an average one, although the parts are quite cheap. One os these will be my next car in a few years to come but mine will be black.

500bhp out of one of these is very easy to do and over 1000bhp i possible without gas and amazing really seeing as they are over 30 years old. All these people that bum jap cars, this is where the real power is.

The front end on the chevelle doesnt quite look right imo

Mike.
01-02-05, 08:13 PM
i no what you mean about the chevelle, still a great car, i think at one point chevy stuck a 7.5 litre v8 in one or maybe bigger :o

the novas far more aggressive, they look smart in black with chrome mag wheels :D

Mel

Theres just something about the chevy that gives it that extra bit of appeal..

i know, ive been looking for one, but looks like the only way is import one in.

Also i know of a few that do 8 second 1/4 miles in road trim :o

Mike.
01-02-05, 08:22 PM
i know its not a nova but....................
http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v631/6666666/drool2.jpg

look at it :D

Mike.
01-02-05, 08:24 PM
a standard chevy nova doing the 1/4 mile in 8 secs, thats just crazy, it has to depend on the engine though because some of them had old 6 pot engines

Philsutton
01-02-05, 08:34 PM
well when i ment road trim i ment all put the engine :D , about those 6 pot ones. Ive found one in sheffield for sale for about 200, seriously thinking about it an converting it.

Mike.
01-02-05, 08:36 PM
:o do it ,200 quid, is it a series 1 or 2?

Philsutton
01-02-05, 08:43 PM
series 2 just waiting on some pics, for that price i think its gonna be fooked

Mike.
01-02-05, 08:45 PM
hmmmm could be in trouble iff its the body work i.e chrome bumpers and trim, but they've got simple mechanicals and as you said you were thinking of converting it

they are all very nice cars but the nova is king of them all, i think theres just something bout the way it look, not too deformed like some of the muscle cars can look.

Mike.
01-02-05, 09:41 PM
bugger the pic shrank :(

there all as good but the nova was realy the FIRST muscle car iff you think about it. the corvette wasn't intended to be a muscle car, it was a sports car with a hulking v8 under the bonnet

burgo
01-02-05, 09:42 PM
nope im sorry but elenor is what all other muscle cars try to be

Mike.

YES YES YES!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

IMO the Challenger is the BEST looking pony car out there (along with the 'Cuda, but hey they're both the same car lol). I've always thought Novas look a little bit... well.... fat lol; And I've never been that much a fan of 'stangs.

Incidentally Phil, have you seen this (http://www.motiv8vehicles.co.uk/) site? Its the place that imported & sorted Rich Hammond (think the short arse from Top Gear lol) his Charger BASTARD! They might be able to help you import or give you some pointers...

Mike.
02-02-05, 07:31 AM
thank god someone agrees with me about the challenger :D

Philsutton
02-02-05, 01:38 PM
good site that, added to my favourites for now, gets rid of the hassle of importing one myself

Hmm.... to me the GT500 looks... well, poncy (especially in Burgo's pic). I much prefer the sharp lines of the original Mustang, and 'Cudas, Chargers, etc. Don't like how the GT500 looks like a 'stang with a bodykit :P

i don't know if americans have corners :-)

they don't have any roundabout, thats for sure.

So realy, i think handling was very low down on the list of prioroties.

Jack

lmfao...

This is what the Americans would call a corner

i agree the mustang looks has too much going on, i prefer the the more subtle look of the others, they look cleaner.

yeah but some of them can wheely, an for a 3 ton car thats quite inpressive, they were never going to go round corners well though
