planning a change from single point injection to carburettor. Jus wondered if i can by pass the single point injection fuel pump when i put the manual pump on. Or do i just leave the existing pump in the tank and disconnect the wires?
cheers

i wanna make the car sr spec so just wondered really and was also thinkin of t40 at a later date?
To change it to sr carb etc,
you need sr inlet manifold, carb etc.
You could use your electric fuel pump and a pressure regulator to bring the pressure down for carbs.
Or use a carb fuel pump, but that means you need an sr cam etc that has the extra lobe to run the mechanical fuel pump.

the spi pump only kicks out 10psi anyway
a normal fse carb regulator will work fine

i got all the gear on the way so i wont need to use the spi pump. If i disconnect it will the fuel flow through it? Alos what will i need to do about the little ECU thing?
