i have noticed quite a few 1.3 sr's running twin 40's is it possible to fit 45's and also what kind of bhp's do these engines give out with the obvious suitable modifications to accept the webbers.
thanks people
Looking at the nova sport, a 1.3 with weber 40's (and cam to suit, they made 100bhp) without the cam I belive they wer around the 93-95 bhp mark. so I'd imagine these sorts of figures.
There are a few people on this site with tuned 1.3 & 1.4 engines running weber 40's and the bhp figures are 100+ with torque around 100 lb/ft. See Benji & Snowface's cars for example.
I think that 45's are suited to larger engined cars 1.8L+

45's are too big, Stick to the 40's.
Just copy the nova sport setup for around 100 brake.

Inlet Manifold ?130 new
Alternator Lowering bracket ?40 new

If its not already been done a Rebuild kit ?50 (Not 100% on that) + any trumpets and chokes thaat might differ from what came with the 2nd hand webers
Rolling Road Tune up ?depends on where you go
All the new prices from http://www.tuning.co.uk/vauxshop/ but hunt around for 2nd hand stuff its cheaper!
