just keep calling moto, you'll find better ones, then play them off against each other. Some people quoted me 2k for a 1.0l :? managed to get it under ?700 eventually

Try Tesco (http://www.tesco.com) and CIS (http://www.cis.co.uk), both are good for young drivers.

Elephant (http://www.elephant.co.uk) and Admiral (http://www.admiral.com) are usually very cheap (?700 FC BC1 on my 'Four  ), but not too sure what they're like for the young 'uns.

i doubt you did mate.

I can onyl just get insurance for ?1600 on a gsi conversion in my 1.2 at the age of 19 with 2 years driving.

most insurance companies aren't dealing with engine conversions at all, especially not at 17.

plus, Admiral don't qoute you untill your a month away from the start date, because they cannot keep qoutes for longer, due to a highly fluctuating market.

Could have been in parent's name... Afaik Admiral aren't particularly mod-friendly though.

you were with liv vic, and they are 1 - dodgy and 2 - have cancelled modified policies now, they wont accept cars with any kind of performance mod.

phill, i've literally tried everywhere, not even HIC,Flux,Prestige will touch me for a reasonable price, they have said that in a years time they will beable to half the ?1600 policy tho...

i do not live in a rough area, infact a very nice area, they havn't even gotten round to asking my post code, they just give me a rough price before they even start the qoute, thinking i wont even bother accepting it
