yeah, more RC cars needed for entertainment at the meets :o)

my ally suspension parts and stainless steel driveshaftsa re being shipped from hong kong this week so mine will be back in action, and considerably faster than it was at MK ;)

Tip, have the back end a bit higher off the floor than the front end ;)

Nice one Scott! Save up and get the real thing now, you wont regret it

Ive just been offered a petrol RC, its a few years old and not an amazing spec. My mate payed ?100 for it, i was thinking of giving him ?70 then getting an evo 6 shell if i can.

Cambridge you know your RC's, does ?70 sound like a good deal for a petrol rc that needs a bit of work?

Karl

p.s sorry to jump in there scott

that doesnt sound like a bad price for a nitro one, i dont really know alot about them, but i got mine from a family friend for ?100.

its a tamiya 1/8 scale impreza and it came with 2 shells and everything i needed. he basically bought it and built it for something to do as he had a car accident and was off work for a while.

its a few years old now and hasnt been used a great deal but is a lot of fun and it flies :D

id find out how much damage/work needs doing as you can EASILY spend ????? repairing them ( i know lol) but ?100 is a good start price

burgo are you aware that the savage .25 with big twin is about ?550 all in lmao. but hey it looks a total beast!

Rach
31-01-05, 11:55 PM

i bought a skyline about a year ago, and i've never even used it  lol

Was talking to my dad this mornig about this car,and he said lets look unde the shell then and see what it got,as he use to build RC airplains, any way just wondering (camb your probably my best bet) he recons if there price is still the same sort thart this steering servo should coast about ?15-?20?? and the crystle for the Mht would be a few ?? also so would like to know how much they coast as etc??

crystals shouldn't be expensive, in electronics i used a few quartz crystals for providing a very precise clock signal. they were only about 78p each or something, but obv the RC ones will be a little more unique and specialist.

Also, i was under the impression that Quartz cyrstals all give the same clock speed, they resonate at something like 34.4 kHz or something similar. So the crystal you need, may be a more expensive kind ?

i don't really know how an RC car works you see...

is the idea of upgrading the crystal just to run everything at an increased speed ?

Mike.
02-02-05, 07:44 PM
that enzo lol the wheels are far too small, and theres no detail, i nearly bought a rc kit it was a alfa romeo and it was very nice

scott.parker
02-02-05, 08:10 PM
Nick mate, nah there what control your frequency that your car operats on,and recives the signal from your hand set(so you can only have one car on this frequency at a time) my mates scooby was on a blue band, mines on yello so if another mate gets one it will need to be on red band..

So i just wonderd how much it was if i wanted to get another frequency band.. etc.

i need bigger wheels, and cut the shell holder things of mine :p

p.s i dont like stones

up-graded motor, up-graded diffx2, carbon fibre yes, drive shaft, them foam inserts for the tyres to keep the solid, running of a 12v batt

does not like to go in a stright line, it wobbles up the road spinning on all 4 tyres

oh right, if it's only to provide a frequency for the handset then it'l be as cheap as chips.

i'd be interested to know how you vary a Quartz frequency Signal without adding extra components ? unless there's some trickery bunged on. maybe cambridge can answer that ?
