Anyone know who this was at the pod on Sunday? They seemed to be having problems with gear linkage...

She said it was a 2 litre, guessing a 16v (but not sure...).

Shame really, I wanted to see how fast it was - the last 2 litre Nova I came across was an interesting race. She broke her linkage and aborted the run, and then did most of a run next time but got a bad launch / start...

it is a 2ltr 8v i was racing her last nite is on a 1.4sr gearbox ran 15.1 i think she said

I ran a few 15.1's and mostly 15.2-15.3 on Sunday.

I've got a 1.6 CRX, with not many bits (exhaust, filter etc).

What are 2 litre n/a Nova's capable of? What about with the 1.4sr box?

I'm "aiming" (i.e. I'll be lucky :lol: ) to get in the high 14's before I do anything else major - i.e. engine swap etc

2lt novas can run anywhere from mid 15s to low 14s in standard form an onto low 13s when they have some money spent on them. I think it would be close with you running those times

I'd like to find out. I need to get my shifts more consistent - I crunched a few times + mis-shifted...:lol:

Will be running different wheels + tyres next week, once I sort my brake clearance.

Yeah I'm on lots of forums...Seem to meet lots of people that tell me about them everywhere! I usually register as russ / rhs98...

Just came on here to look for Stacey as I wanted to see what her car can do when its running right! She seemed to be having no end of trouble with gearbox + getting enough grip. Seemed like it should shift though.

my old standard 2.0 8v was exactly the same acceleration as a clio 172. have you ever tried playing with one of those. that would give you a rough guess as to wheather ull win or not

My friend had a phase 1 172, he can drive ok (probably better than me tbh) and got a 15.1XX @ the pod...

But no, never raced one that was a challenge (i.e. they weren't trying / were crap drivers).

I'd guess its going to be scarily even and down to driver skill. Her shorter ratio gearbox should help! :o I registered on her forum so should be able to get in contact...

Ah well - its all talk - there's only one way to find out! :wink:

I'll have to get stacey to sign up, her car ran a 15.2 best, not bad for her first time up the pod and not bad considering she didn't want to run cos she was scared lol.

Martins LET nova ran 13.9 but even with a LSD the crap tires just made for loads of wheelspin, it certainly has some potential though.

i just posted a link to what she looks like. i am sure if she didn't want anyone to know what she looked like then, she would have never put her pics up on the other site.

and now knowing what she looks like, i would go over and say hello as her car sounds good from the tech spec. and at the end of the day, you got to respect a woman who puts her neck out and does all the things we love to do, pod and no doubtly track days.
