One week to go....Again!.......Only this time it's different

Well here I go again, putting up a post to tell You guys that theres one week to go to My next event, There are 3 rallies a year at Pembrey, Ralli Cwm Gwendraeth is on the 6th, I will be there for this one!!!!!


Previously this has doomed my efforts :cry:


But, this time it's different...................


As You know I went testing on Monday and everything was fine, in fact better than fine. The car has had another fortune spent on it and is sat in the unit ready for a rally, I've just got to sort out My wheels and tyres Sat afternoon and drive it like it's knicked all day Sunday :lol:

Cheers Mate, Bryan's is a similar spec to mine. 170bhp 1.4 16v but he is running a 6 speed dog box where I am only running a 5 speed dog box :cry:

To be fair to him though He goes exceptionally well and has done a fair bit of giant killing in it over the last year. If I am on his pace by the end of the day I will be well happy :D

Well it's all systems go 1st thing in the morning :o

The van is loaded up with tool box, wheels and tyres, spares and just about everything I could possibly need.

The car is on the trailer and ready for the off at 06:00 :o

Had a bit of a hiccup this afternoon as the alternator decided to stop charging................ But luckily I have a couple of spares so it was quickly fitted.

I'll update on here when I get back tomorrow evening, wish Me luck :D

Well where do I begin??

Basically it wasn't a succesfull day............Again :o

I decided to throw caution to the wind on the 1st stage as there were a few unexpected late entries for the Rally in My class which I simply had to try and beat :lol:

Another 1400 16v 170bhp Nova with a 6speed dog box, another full spec 1400 Nova and a Darrian with a Tuned Blackbird or Hyabusa engine (Not sure which).

I got caught out on a rough gravel section between the circuit perimeter roads and the Beach road on SS1, I slid wide and got stuck down a bit of a banking. I was no more than 6ft off the road :cry:

No serious damage to the car though just a bent steering arm. It's back in the unit now all steamed off. Will have to spend a day on it this week and it will be ready for My next event which is next Sunday :D

I'll keep You all informed :D
