Hello People,

Am putting an XE into a Carb'd shell. Planning on extending the loom to tidy up the job, would i need another XE loom or just another carb'd one?

Also anybody done this before? Some pointers would be great.

never done it myself but im thinking of doing it to mine when i put the XE in. im just going to get a few reels of wire the same guage as the ones im going to extend. (in as many matching colours as i can, to make it easier to fault find)

then just cut the loom where you want to extend it and get the soldering iron out and add wire where applicable. you could use chock blocks or crimps but they allways have the chance of corroding and causing falures

Thank's for the reply, that's a good idea.

Now i have just got to figure out where you chop the loom and wire in the XE one!

Cheers :D

The XE loom is self contained so i dont see y ud want to chop it and add more.

all u need to do is connect, Perm power, Ign power, Fuel pump, Revs, and earth it and thats your lot.

THe carbed loom can stay to control all the normal functions, just blank off all the unused ones (like temp sensor, revs, etc )
