Ok, i am undecided on which rear lights to put onto my new Nova.

Its Mexico Red, so i want some that will suit the car. What is the opinion of people on here?

I think i prefer the twin fog option - gives a standard kind of look to the rear end..

Yes twin fog would be a good way to go.

as then , your not having a problem with mounting the fog light somewhere (as on twin reverse) but the twin reverse look good because they contain clear parts, which brakes up the redness

However, the burdgandy colours (like mine) look very good with Whitish/clear indicators, so i'd say clear would suit it.... but they look a bit tacky.

Smoked would look taky too.

i have seen clears, with the top half painted red. they looked realy nice.

Ive got clears on my 5door, so i suppose i could swap them over and see what it looks like. Ive also got a set of tinted ones in the shed somewhere lol

I reckon i will get some euro stylee twin fog ones though - if only i could read German, im looking on ebay at the moment and cant understand a bloody word

i think it'd look tooooo red like that

at least the half red, half clear breaks up the redness (as the whole car is red) but adds some contrasting and complementory white

Euro Twin Reverse (http://mysite.wanadoo-members.co.uk/j2_files/DSCF0094.JPG) (56k warning!) and Smoked (http://www.novaload.net/images/car_images/1020big2.jpg); Both on Mexico Red

IMO twin reverse looks good; and you have the advantage of using silver bulbs to keep one as a foglight if you want.

silver bulbs ? how does that work

i really wanted twin reverse, but i thought the foglight problem was unavoidable

Silvatec bulbs... they have a silver coating on them but light up red (or orange for indicator bulbs). I've got one in my saloon (pic above), as I liked the twin reverse look but didn't want to have additional foglights.

Although its an arse to explain when people say "you've got a reverse bulb gone mate"

ahh cool

and then you don't have to faf about wiring up the 2nd reverse light ?

it's just a swap of the clusters, and a swap of 1 bulb ?

hmmmm looking good in those pics, i think that i may have just changed my mind about twin fogs...

Where can i get some half clear half red ones then? I dont recall ever seeing them offered by any companies?

Am i going to have to spray tint half my clear clusters?

Cheers guys :D
