HELP if possible?!

Hey All, i need abit of help advice maybe someone that has experienced this problem before and solved it.

Here goes:
My Car keeps dying when i put the clutch down to change gear! e.g when i stop at traffic lights it just cuts out! It happened a little while ago and then was fine and its been doing it for the last two days!!

Any ideas of the problem or anything i can do?
Has anyone experienced this before?

Yep mine does it all the time in this weather - its carb icing mate..

Do you have a manual choke or automatic?

You can rig up a hot air feed from the manifold to your filter if you dont have the standard stuff anymore and that will help.

mine does to, but jus go round the block once just to start pushing the fuel thru and should be ok

carb icing usually only occurs with high volumes of cold air flowing thru the carb - as u woudl find when drving along a motorway or fast single carridgeway, not general roudn town driving tbh
