I have the Nova sport twin 40's, with the irmscher airbox, What I want to know is.... Will they sound better & Go better without this airbox? Or should I stick to this set-up?

Don't bother with the airbox, it restricts airflow and muffles the sound of the carbs.

Make sure you keep it though, they are few and far between.

Yeah I thought it might, Will it bark & sound better without the airbox? do you think I should get trumpets?

I wont be selling it, Your right, They're getting very rare now.

trumpets are a must. The airflow with out them is poor apparently.

30-50mm i'd recommend.

The trumpets seem really close to the bulkhead though, Im gonna have to look closer at some other novas with this.

Is there anybody here who has an irmscher airbox set up like mine?

Because what Id also like to know is: The airbox should have a cold air hose, But I dont have one, just because I havent felt the need, Would I be best off connecting a hose for cold air? does this make a difference? I have a isuzu trooper vent on top of the airbox, so there air there but would I benefit at all by putting a hose jus behind the grill for air induction?

the trumpets are fine, even "close" to the bulkhead

as for the air feed, the bonnet vent wont be feeding the airbox unless you take the lid off and have a pannel filter. but tbh thats a silly idea

Yeah that is a silly idea, But I might have to do that If I go to Donington, Least there will be more air flow I spose?

Should I set up a hose on the airbox for now to get cold air into the box?

take the air box off, get trumpets and maybe a pair of KandN filters.

much much much better than a restrictive airbox.
