gsi gearbox on a 1.4 SR engine

im wondering if my 1.4 sr would run better with a gsi gearbox

would there be any difference between the SR gearbox and the Gsi gearbox

gsi box won't fit as the bell housing is 10mm bigger.

yup but the gearbox still fits on

theres just a little gap round by the starter, doesnt affect anything

it is, but the box will fit. a f10 casing won't fit a gte flywheel and clutch, but the f13 will fit a 1400

i see so do you need to change starter aswell?

nope, the starter has nothing to do with the box. only the flywheel. i have a f15 box on mine

Check out what boxes they are first.

No point changing one CR for another!

If one of them is wide ratio, then use the diff/FD from that with the CR box.
