any one replaced thier standard gear change mechanism for one from a mk3 astra? looks to me like the end result would be similar to the quaife set-up but seriously cheaper!!

You mean the linkage? Sounds interesting, i'll hava a look into it. Been thinking about getting my gearbox improved for a while........

folk have used mk3 cav and mk2 astra gte linkages which are very similar - infact the nova group a build manual states explicitly to use this system as is much more direct and provides better feel
