Parcel Shelf Covering

Hi, anyone got any ideas about what i can cover my MDF parcel shelf out of? I was thinking about using checker plating or maybe a Piece of material with a Welsh Flag on it.

What have you lot used, any ideas please?

Decided to cover it with checker plate look material (plastic on a roll) and fair play it looks well "Boss"...lol ive heard that saying before epo!
