I've seen a pic of ste_nova with a GSI engine in the boot and someone else with a C20XE!

Is it hard to get it in there? Can you lift a small block engine & gearbox by hand with 1 or 2 people?

Also how did you secure it so it didn't move about.

cheers.

you will need 2 people to lift it in, once it is in, it wont go anywhere, but for peace of mind you could tie it to the rear seat mounts

we managed to get a xe+box, engine crane and two people in my mate fiesta. It blew it hole in the block on the way back though

lol.

i was thinking of turning my spare wheel upside down so the sump would sit in it slightly. then prolly strap it or just take it steady.

i have put an xe in my car too
just put it in the rear and just drove off.

i picked up 2 xe's and a gearbox from the south coast, the old fiesta we took didn't like it much but we got back in one piece eventually!

yeah i remeber. i managed to lift it by myself to get it in the garage my end. Not for too long though. I'm thinking with a cylinder head and gearbox on its gonna weigh at least 30% more than just the block though.

We'll see. i got a mate coming to help and the guy i'm meeting up with so its not a problem really. just curios.
