manifold wrap

When I got my no-v I thought the way to go was induction kit, and I binned the original kit - not so bright!
Would ppl recommend manifold wrap? If so what length did you purchase?

It all depends on the state of tune of your engine, I will be wrapping my manifiold but I intend to use to for trackdays and I will also be driving rather hard on the road

umm its always handy to wrap it to keep the heat in etc.

i take it you have a 4 branch exhaust.

you'll need about 25M to do a single wrap

i got 50M to be sure on mine.

get it from rally design

how wide is your exhaust wrap cambridge? 2 inch??????

i'de say if it aint too much to buy - go for it, anything helps. if not to reduce hot air going into filter then generally keeping engine bay cooler- the cooler the better. even if u dont track it or whatever. plus - it looks the bizz anyway - alot better than a rusty cast iron manifold .

The main idea for the heat wrap is to keep the heat in the manifold. Gasses move faster over a hot surface, and the exhaust gasses moving faster will retain some torque that could be lost by using thin steel manifolds.

Surely you could pick up some heat insulation from B&Q or somewhere for 1/10th of the price tweeks sell it for?

will be using it on my build :D Like its been mentioned, it will keep the heat in and away from my carbs so on track days at donny, she will keep running sweet all after noon 8)
