my aiwa cd player is supposed to run at 45w per channel - in reality its more like 22 - you know the score rms NOT pmpo.
So whats the best powered rating ( rms ) cheapish cd player going - please note it must have 1 output for a sub....

In Car Express (http://www.incarexpress.co.uk) and Car Audio Security (http://www.caraudiosecurity.com) are two good sites for ICE.

Alpine head units are good, but tend to be expensive if you've got a tight budget. As whitty said, you might find them cheaper on ebay but beware it can be more hassle to return faulty/damaged ones.
